Lake Garda

Lake Garda refers to more than just a beautiful lake – these tours can also contain elements of the Italian cities of Milan, Verona and Venice.

The floating city of Venice is an enchanting mix of gondolas, canals and iconic buildings such as the Basilica of St. Marks, Ponte Rialto and the Bridge of Sighs.

Verona, celebrated by Shakespeare as the romantic setting for the moving tale of Romeo and Juliet, is also home to an amazing Roman Arena that plays host to many large-scale opera performances.

Last but not least, Milan is Italy’s financial hub also known for its high-end shops, the Duomo cathedral and Milan Castle.The city is also famous for the iconic San Siro stadium, home to the two major football teams, AC Milan and Internazionale.

As a backdrop, the stunning Lake Garda at the foot of the Dolomites mountains makes for the perfect setting,with its 25 picturesque villages rich with historical monuments, castles and fortresses.

Guideline price: €480 per student (3 Night / 2 Day Itinerary)

Day 1 – Arrival
  • Fly to Milan.  Private coach depart to Verona.
  • Enjoy a guided tour of Verona, a romantic city made famous by Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet.
  • Visit Juliet’s house, the Square of Lords and the impressive Roman Amphitheatre.
  • Embark on a boat trip on the lake around the picturesque town of Sirmione.
  • Transfer to your hotel near Lake Garda. Dinner and overnight.
Day 2 – Day Trip to Venice
  • Depart to Venice to explore the floating city’s main attractions.
  • Take a water taxi to St. Mark’s square along the canals.
  • Guided walking tour including Doge Palace, Bridge of Sighs and Ponte Rialto.
  • On return, stop at Grande Mela Shopping Land for a game of bowling.
  • Return to your hotel near Lake Garda.
Day 3 – Thrills and Adventure
  • Full day at Gardaland Theme Park.
  • Embark on an exciting trip featuring rides, shows and attractions.
  • Return to your hotel near Lake Garda.
Day 4 – Day trip to Milan
  • Hotel check out.  Depart to Milan.
  • Explore around the Piazza del Duomo and Cathedral.
  • Visit the San Siro Stadium and Museum.
  • Coach transfer to airport, for return flight to Ireland.

Day 1 – Arrival

  • Enjoy a boat trip on Italy’s largest lake, passing some of its most important landmarks.
  • On return, stop at Grande Mela Shopping Land for a game of bowling.
  • Return to hotel. Dinner and overnight.
Day 4 – Thrills and Adventure
  • Full day at Gardaland Theme Park.
  • Embark on an exciting trip featuring rides, shows and attractions.
  • Return to your hotel near Lake Garda. Dinner and overnight.
Day 5 – Day trip to Milan
  • Hotel check out.  Depart to Milan.
  • Explore around the Piazza del Duomo and Cathedral.
  • Visit the San Siro Stadium and Museum.
  • Coach transfer to airport for return flight to Ireland.

Did You Know?

  • Venice is made up of 118 islands and 170 canals, where 350 gondolas are seen in action.
  • Venice is facing many ecological challenges due to its unique structure – its population has halved and movable barriers are being developed to control the high tides. It has been suggested that Venice will only be a tourist park by as soon as 2030!
  • The Verona Arena was originally used to host gladiator circus events. Today, you can watch opera while sitting on the same carved stone steps that were used in Roman times.
  • Milan is the Italian and indeed global capital of fashion – you’ll find an array of fashion brands located around the Quadrilatero d’Oro (that’s the Golden Quadrilateral to you and I!).

  • Guideline price represents the itinerary as shown. Changes to the itinerary can be accommodated and quoted accordingly.
  • Price is based on 40 students + 5 free teacher places. We can also quote you directly for 32+4, 24+3 or a larger group if requested.
  • Price includes: Half-board accommodation / all coach transfers / all guide costs as listed / entrance fees as listed.
  • We offer a further discount of €10 per student if schools elect to pay directly.
  • Flight are not included but are booked at cost for your group – no booking fees or extra non-airline fees apply.
  • Accommodation is based in ensuite rooms in a hostel – we can also include hotel rooms for the group.
